• Best of Show winner at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering 2015
• In running condition
• To be eligible for selection as Best of Show at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering, the motorcycle must be shown to the judges while running and revving the engine (running video to be supplied to new owner)
• The only 1951 125cc Grand Prix Bialbero retained by the factory, indicated by it being the only one in the Mondial factory collection purchased in 1977 by Nerini, Daddario and Valgrande
• Believed to be the motorcycle raced by Carlo Ubbiali to win the Grand Prix World Championship in the 125cc Class in 1951
• The only known surviving original 1951 Mondial Grand Prix bike
• Mondial won every 125cc Grand Prix race in the 1949, 1950 and 1951 seasons
• Formerly from the Nerini/Daddario/Valgrande Collection, the three Italians pooled their financial resources and in 1977 purchased all of the Grand Prix race bikes that the Mondial factory had retained
• George Beale later purchased half of the Nerini/Daddario/Valgrande Mondial collection in 2001 which included this Mondial
• John Goldman purchased this Mondial 125 Bialbero Grand Prix motorcycle from George Beale's Mondial collection in 2002
• Following his purchase, Goldman stated that he interviewed Nerini in-person, who verified this was Carlo Ubbiali's 1951 world championship-winning motorcycle
• Goldman stated that he later visited Ubbiali and showed him numerous photos of the bike; Ubbiali confirmed it was the Mondial he rode during the 1951 season
• Highly original unrestored condition including paint, tires and seat
• This Mondial was invited to the 1998 Assen Centennial Classic, a celebration of the first three decades of Grand Prix racing where over 100 Grand Prix winning motorcycles were displayed and run on the Assen track by their former Grand Prix Championship winning riders
• The 1998 Assen Centennial Classic scrutineering tag, no. 0289, remains on the motorcycle's frame
• At the event, Carlo Ubbiali purportedly rode this Mondial at near race speeds around the Assen track
• 125cc double overhead cam single-cylinder engine
